Camden Group already offer Super Spacer technology as standard on thier domestic windows and glazed frames. Unlike metal-based spacers, the all foam construction of Super Spacer is non-conductive, blocking heat flow through the window. By blocking the heat escape path, Super Spacer provides one of the best thermal performances in the industry.
Super Spacer is a true dual seal system that uses a high-performance acrylic adhesive for its structural seal, backed by a moisture vapor seal. Two seals are better than one – proven by the fact the windows made with Super Spacer last five times longer in durability tests than single-seal units. The fact that Super Spacer is non-conductive means that it also protects a major household threat: mold. Window condensation can lead to molds that increase the likelihood of allergens, including fungi, viruses and mites that might cause respiratory infections, allergies and asthma.
Mold needs moisture to grow. To keep condensation off of glass, windows need to have the warmest inside surface temperature as possible – and the world’s warmest edge occurs with Super Spacer.
Super Spacer® TriSeal™ is a flexible, silicone foam spacer designed to satisfy the toughest commercial glazing demands, including silicone structural glazing (SSG). Its unique triple-seal design incorporates an inner acrylic adhesive seal for immediate unit handling. TriSeal comes complete with polyisobutylene primary seal for enhanced gas retention and low moisture vapour transmission. Silicone is well known for its superior resistance to ozone, UV light and oxidation.
Kieran Lavery, Managing Director of Camden Group, said:
“Our customers will enjoy the benefits of our highly energy efficient units and we will benefit from improved productivity giving us the capacity to grow sales in a competitive market.
We have always managed to buck the trend of a declining UK manufacturing sector by placing an emphasis on innovation. Investing in Super Spacer TriSeal is therefore a natural progression to keep our customers ahead of the competition and at the forefront of market developments."
Less conductive than the traditional aluminum spacer bars, the Super Spacer TriSeal provides many positive advantages including -
Reduced heat loss which in turn reduces heating bills
Reduced noise transmission
Condensation is reduced by up to 70% which eliminates bacteria on the windows
Reduces energy consumption by up to 15% within curtain wall glazing systems and up to 29% across glazing systems.
Improves U Value by up to 12% when compared with the traditional aluminum spacer
Noise reduction by up to 2Db
Less energy transmissions and waste are released into the environment
